Hey, I'm JR. I'm a full-stack engineer and founder living in Dallas. By day I ship federal software at Accenture Federal. By night I'm bootstrapping MintLocke, a non-custodial Bitcoin trading platform that automates your strategy on-chain so your BTC works while you're not.
Previously: ML research at UTSA, a Heyman-medal-winning team at the IRS, and a whole lot of late nights building MintLocke. Currently obsessed with MintLocke, building agents, trading, and Texas BBQ.
Building
A non-custodial Bitcoin trading platform on Base. Deposit USDC, set a strategy, and the on-chain executor handles the rest — currently working through our seed round.
A weekend dapp to teach myself Hardhat and the Ethereum transaction lifecycle. Solidity contract + React front-end.
A social mobile app on the DESO blockchain. The on-chain social experiment that led me into crypto and eventually into MintLocke.
My undergrad research project at UTSA. An MTCNN-based pipeline plus a custom CNN that detected face-swapped video at 70% accuracy across a hold-out set.
My first real ML build. A convolutional neural network image classifier I put together with classmates at UTSA — the project that got me hooked on AI.
